Our Goal

The ResTek Program provides education and support to on-campus residents in their use of technology. Residential Technology Services (ResTek) is a program of the Office of University Residences.

The ResTek staff is composed of WWU students who have been trained to assist residents with their technology needs via phone, email, and room visits. Throughout the year, ResTek consultants are readily available to help assist you with virus and spyware infections, safe Internet habits, and connecting your computer to the Internet. Our goal is to provide guidance so you gain knowledge and confidence in maintaining your own computer.

Residential Network ISP Change

On August 29, 2007 ResTek changed internet providers from Fibercloud to the Washington K-20 Education Network. K-20 is the provider used by the rest of campus, and now it is also used in the residence halls. However, the connection will not be shared between campus and the residence halls.

We hope that this change will positively impact your internet experience within the residence halls and, as always, we encourage you to give feedback.
