Connect to the Network

Follow these steps to connect your computer to the network.

  1. Turn your computer off
  2. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your computer
  3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port in the wall
    TIP: Ethernet ports are orange; phone jacks are white.
  4. Turn on your computer
  5. Open your web browser. Type in “http://register.restek.wwu.edu“
    • If you get the Network Registration page, you should now register your computer. After you pass network registration, you will be able to use the Internet
    • If you get an error saying The Page Cannot be Displayed, see the Ethernet Connection Troubleshooting instructions to find the resolution to common connectivity problems
