These instructions guide you through setting your web browser to use the ResTek Proxy. If you are using these instructions to troubleshoot your connection, you should open your web browser and attempt to visit a website once you have saved your changes.

• Windows Internet Explorer (XP/Vista)
• Windows Firefox (XP/Vista)
• Macintosh

Windows Internet Explorer

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options.
2. Select the Connections tab.
3. Click the LAN Settings… button.
   
4. Make sure Automatically detect settings is checked and click OK to save your settings.
   

Windows Firefox

1. Open Firefox and go to Tools > Options > Advanced.
2. Select the Network tab.
3. Click the Settings button under the Connection header.
4. Check Auto-detect proxy settings for this network and click OK to save your settings.
   

Macintosh

1. Go to Apple > System Preferences > Network
2. Click the Proxies tab.
3. Scroll down to Automatic Proxy Configuration
   
4. In the URL box, type http://restek.wwu.edu/wpad.dat and click Apply Now.
5. You’re now on the proxy! Enjoy faster browsing!
